We enjoyed staying here!
We enjoyed staying here while visiting good friends. The couch was very comfortable as were the new beds/mattresses. We loved the outside shower and the fact that we were able to put a large blow-up pool to dunk into with our dog in the backyard, which is private. The location is great and the beach is a short walk away…only two and a half blocks, which leads to a nice access ramp and beach area. The beach is wide and the ocean here is great for young people as you can wade out a bit. The waves were not too huge and we felt it was a really great place to swim or boogieboard. The beach here at Sandbridge is just awesome overall. It was nice to be able to walk or ride a bike to grocery and ice cream spots. We learned about sea turtles at the museum on the end of the island (a short drive). Not too many people around. Very relaxing! We will definitely be back.

Needed a dog friendly place while we found a home locally. House by the Sea was perfect for us. No frills but great for our situation!

In town for business and decided to rent a beach house instead of a hotel. So glad I did. This house is on a very quiet street a block and half to the ocean. The Kitchen had everything necessary. Bed was very comfortable. Very relaxing atmosphere all together. Lots of great restaurants in town too. I will be back and bring the family next time.

I have left a review of this property on VRBO also. This property is not worth 4337.00$. Water pressure bad, grill unusable, Beds and rooms uncomfortable, TVs are so small a family can’t watch. Large portion of the home had window unit that did not cool space. Central air froze lower level, terrible decor. No deck furniture or outdoor seating. Just really gross overall. Looked like a nasty fraternity house from the 1970’s

The house was great, the location was exactly what we were looking for. Would have stayed forever! The rental company was also fantastic.

The house was a convenient walk to the beach and had everything we needed. Even though the listing had an absurd number of things under “amenities,” there were various beach items available for our use that we didn’t expect: sand toys, boogie boards, bikes, chairs, etc.

There was no check-in package or information other than a sheet of rules on the fridge – not sure if that’s typical. Figuring out how to connect to wifi was a DIY process, but it worked once we looked at the bottom of the router.

Some quirks of the house that might or might not fall under the individual owner’s decorating style: The upstairs bedroom seemed like it would be the primary one, but it had a less comfortable mattress than the smaller of the downstairs bedrooms (which might be the place to sleep if you don’t want to get up early, since it also has no windows – but beware of the falling light fixture and exposed wires in its closet). The upstairs bathroom window blinds didn’t lower far enough to do their job, and the downstairs bedroom windows had sheers but no blinds. Several electrical outlets were worn out and wouldn’t hold plugs; the sunroom’s window A/C outlet was so loose that the unit went off and back on when the cord was jiggled. The kitchen was well-equipped except for measuring spoons. The downstairs bathroom door and outside shower door wouldn’t latch. Water pressure was minimal. The half bath had an exhaust fan, but the full bath didn’t. I was alarmed when I first used the half bath exhaust fan, which featured a flashing red light instead of a normal bulb. Several downstairs light fixtures were just bare bulbs. We didn’t use the grill, but it appeared to be hosting a few wasps’ nests.

So if you’re looking to be in Sandbridge but are more into a bohemian eclecticism instead of the giant mansions becoming more common there, this might be your
