Chapel Bay

Great home, with access to the canal and an easy walk to the beach. Layout was good for our four families with room to spread out. For the number of people the home can sleep, the kitchen is small and very under equipped (not enough plates/cups/silverware) and the biggest downside is no outdoor shower when returning from the beach. The indoor pool was a nice feature, but could use some TLC. It allowed us to still swim and keep the kids occupied during afternoon thunderstorms which was great. The walk to the beach was easy, and canal access allowed for pretty views and use of a kayak. Property was clean but could use some updates and upkeep.

Great Time at Sandbridge
The house was great for it's age. Good price. Clean for a weekly rental. Nice layout. Great dock. Nice walk to the beach. We take our 14 kids and grandkids to the beach for a week each year. This was one of the best.

We rent homes every year to get our family together for a full week. This home was enjoyed by all. We were able to bring our pet which was so exciting. Plenty of great space and the management was wonderful to work with. Thank you for sharing this home! We hope to be back for more celebrations.

Chapel Bay was perfect for our family. We loved being on the Bay and still being close enough to the beach for a short walk. We fished, rented kayaks, and paddle boards which was a blast. The kids loved the indoor pool and foosball/pool table. The house was clean, and Ocean Sands Realty was a joy to work with. We will be back next year! Thank you!

Lots of room for the whole family. The kitchen had everything, even if you wanted to do cake baking! Great sunset views on the back porch. Kids loved the pool and ocean was a short walk away but not bad at all. Bring a beach buggy to haul beach stuff to the oceanfront.

We had a great vacation stay at this rental. The house is big and accommodated our large family of 15. We loved the access to the beach and the water behind the house for Kayaks. We also, loved having the garage to use to keep all our bikes and beach gear in....that was a huge plus!!! We did not use the indoor pool as often as we anticipated because the water was cold. The kitchen is very well supplied!! The only issue is dealing with the little ants on the counter and in the drawers. We tried to keep the house swept at all times with the sand that gets in when going to and from the beach....I would recommend more than one broom and one the doesn't fall apart every time you use it. We used the grill several times....I would also recommend someone giving it a good cleaning once in a awhile. The large room with the sectional couch....needs a couple extra chairs for a large group like ours to sit together.... we brought in a few of our beach chairs so we could be together in that room.
All the things I mentioned were small things and just a suggestion....overall we had a GREAT vacation and the management company was very good to work with!! Thank you!!

The layout of the house was great for our family. We were able to be together but there was plenty of room if we needed our own space. The kitchen has plenty of plates, bowls, skillets and pans. Regular size spoons could be added.
We had a few issues, but as soon as management was made aware, they got them resolved quickly. Ocean Sands was so easy to work with. I highly recommend them.

Good location, new dock but no ladder for access to kayaks. Service and assistance from management staff was exceptional, best we ever experienced. Texts were answered within minutes, repair techs were usually there within the hour and they were helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and neat.

It really shocks me how much they charge for houses like these when the condition of the house is terrible. One living room couch definitely had bed bugs in them, AC was broken in parts of the house and the pool was just grimy. Also how do you have a beach house without a outdoor shower? we had to pull a hose from inside the garage to the outside as our makeshift

Our entire family of 18, set of grandparents, adult children and 11 grandchildren(ages 2-25] spend time laughing, playing pool and poker, card games and sharing time together. The house was large enough for everyone to spread out and have space. Grilling was done as was baking. Everyone had a ball. Close enough to a wonderful produce stand that also sold delicious shrimp and grocery stores. Went to the aquarium, some played golf at Devil’s point, beach, or sat outside and enjoyed on the water. TV only went on at night so little ones could watch their shows before going to bed. Highly recommend Virginia Beach and this lovely home.

Layout of this house was perfect and spacious, very comfortable beds, beautiful deck with plenty of seating gatherings but unfortunately it stops at that. This house needs some TLC and a very through cleaning. My wife made the mistake of walking barefoot on our 1st day and by the end of the day the bottom of her feet where black. Cant understand that cause you are paying for cleaning. Also kitchen was loaded with ants couldn't put anything on countertop otherwise you would have ants on your stuff. I do have to say we had a problem with one of the TVs and the rental company sent out a person to fix it right away. Pool needs TLC also.

Great family friendly getaway!
The house and property is gorgeous! The rental company was so friendly and willing to work with us anytime we needed them. They came out quickly to check the water temperature and pressure. My kids loved the pool and game room. Was well worth it!

This is our second year coming here. There were some updates made but truthfully we were very happy last year. Had our kids and grand kids as well as our parents. Love that we can also bring our pets. The place was pretty clean but might like to see the floors a little cleaner. Wasn’t spotless but clean none the less.

Chapel Bay is the perfect location with great access to the bay. It’s a large spacious home that worked very well for my family. The house has some age and seems it has been a rental for a long time. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Just What We Needed
What a refreshing vacation! We arrived to a house and pool that were beautiful and clean. The location was wonderful with a short, easy walk to the beach. The home is well maintained, and the only issue we had was extremely minor, and fixed immediately by a very polite gentleman. We were a little dismayed when a construction crew pulled into the driveway at 7 am the first morning to demolish and replace the fence, but honestly, they were so polite, quiet, efficient, and considerate, it really wasn’t an issue! They finished the job in one day with the exception of one gate done the following day, and we got to enjoy the upgraded view with the beautiful new fence as a backdrop. If I knew the name of the construction company, I’d give them a five star review too! The office staff was friendly and helpful from the time I booked. They even recommended a pizza place when I texted them from the house! I highly recommend Sandbridge Island Restaurant. We enjoyed there pizza so much, that we ordered cheesesteaks from them the next night. I would happily rent from Ocean Sands again, and I would most definitely recommend this rental in particular!

The house was great for our families - 7 adults and (5 children ages 1-6) and room to spare for larger groups. We enjoyed the game room, the indoor pool was a favorite, the kitchen has everything you need, the living rooms and bedrooms were a very good size. The outside deck is large and bay dock was great for the fishermen in the group. The house and property was clean. Some areas in the home could use a little TLC but nothing that would hamper a wonderful stay. Ocean Sands Realty was awesome to deal with. They were informative, helpful and courteous. Great vacation!
